Fred C. Lowther received his law degree in 1979 from the University of British Columbia. Following articles with both the Crown and in private practice he was called to the BC Bar in 1980. He practices exclusively in the area of Family Law and is a widely respected and senior member of the Family Bar. Mr. Lowther specializes in the areas of property division, inheritance issues, spousal support, and child support, custody and access.
Mr. Lowther is a highly efficient and experienced trial lawyer, well known for his tenacious defence of his client’s rights in both Provincial and Supreme Court trials, as well as in the BC Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.

Fred is a proud graduate of Templeton Secondary School and a lifelong Vancouver resident. He is the father and stepfather of 3 young adults and enjoys walking with his border collie, Ted. His favourite getaway place is the cabin he built himself on the Sunshine Coast, where the ocean never rests and the sunsets are spectacular.
